All of Us: Celebrating 250 Years of America, 175 Years of Grand Rapids

Honoring Our Past, Inspiring Our Future

Join us as we mark two extraordinary milestones: America’s 250th anniversary and Grand Rapids’ 175th anniversary. This celebration was initiated by Congress and passed on to the states to organize commemoration and service, county by county and city by city. It is a national celebration, executed locally, comprising a journey through our shared history and an invitation to shape the future by serving together.

It’s a time to honor where we’ve been, recognize who we are and imagine all we can achieve as a community united in purpose and pride.

"...the struggle for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is never truly won. Each generation of Americans, indeed of all humanity, must strive to achieve these aspirations anew. Liberty is a living flame to be fed, not dead ashes to be revered..."

- Gerald R. Ford, remarks in Philadelphia, PA
